Winter streets, cold apartments, a school where she’s invisible, cleaning houses she’ll never belong to. Far from home, identity dissolves. Until she meets El Perlita, a street-born rapper from Vallecas whose world feels raw, familiar, alive. Through him she finds Bobby, a Dominican hothead chasing respect, and Menita, a restless Moroccan kid navigating the same invisible borders she does. Together they form a fragile tribe built on beats, bravado, and belonging.
But escape has a price. Violence migrates too. What begins as music and survival instinct slowly twists into confrontation and revenge. As tensions rise and loyalty turns sharp, Janell must decide who she is—and who she refuses to become—before the streets that promised her freedom claim her future.
