Mission: Bruguera

Mission: Bruguera is a feature-length documentary comedy in which an unlikely group of investigators sets out to find the lost original pages and return them to the authors’ heirs.

Along the way, they will be joined by the heirs themselves, by experts on Bruguera and on popular culture more broadly, by cultural institutions interested in recovering the originals, and also by Bruguera’s other heirs: today’s comic artists, who are still striving to make a living— with uneven success—within the complex world of publishing.
